Biology marking scheme:
Each question contains four options. Question numbers 1, 4, 6, and 10 are short-answer questions (1 mark each). Quiz numbers 2, 3, 5, and 7 are descriptive questions (2 marks each). Question number 8 is a matching question (1 mark). Question 11 has four short answer types of questions with one correct answer each out of four given options(every 0.25 marks), totaling 1 mark. Here we provide a biochemistry syllabus along with solved question papers for the 2nd year. Past papers of biology chapter wise:
This year biology is divided into two parts. Paper 1 (1st half) and paper 2 (2nd half). According to the new pattern, there is a total of three papers in biology. The syllabus will be Foundation Paper, Practical Examination, Practical Report, and Practical Improvement Certificate. The first part (the Foundation paper), contains 30 marks out of 60 total marks and it’s compulsory for all students. For the second part (Practical examination), there will be two papers each with 30 marks/60 total marks whereas practical is only given in the second part exam results provided you have passed the first part by attaining a minimum of 20 out of 30 marks.
