Digital Logic Design DLD CS302 Handouts (1-45)

Digital Logic Design CS302 Handouts (1-45) VU handout-(DLD) is the study of digital circuitry at the level of logic gates, digital logic design introduction, building blocks and ultimately, circuits. The lectures will use to supplement the lecture notes. We uploaded the VU handout of DLD or digital logic design pdf notes course code CS302. This handout will prove very helpful for teachers and students.

This content is vital for the students. We presents this content for students of Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering Students of different universities in Pakistan. The students of other universities like outside of Pakistan can consider this handout.

Outline of Digital Logic Design CS302

  • Digital Fundamentals
  • Boolean Algebra
  • Number Systems
  • Logic Gates
  • Combinational Circuits
  • Sequential Circuits
  • Memory Elements

Digital Fundamentals:

DLD covers logic gates, truth tables, and how to translate a logical problem into a circuit. . This course is essential. You are studying computer science or electrical engineering. If you’re learning from a hands-on perspective.

Boolean Algebra:

The theory of Boolean algebra was invented in 1854 by George Boole. Boolean algebra allows to model digital systems. If you study electronics, you’ll notice that most circuits are based on these simple electronic elements called gates. And if you study hardware engineering, one of your classes will teach how to design circuits using these tools.

Number Systems (Digital Logic Design):

A number system is a mathematical notation that represents numbers using symbols (or digits).

  • Binary
  • Octal
  • Decimal
  • Hexadecimal

Logic Gates:

Digital circuits are created by arranging one or more logic gates. Logic gates have two input lines and a single output line. The output will either 0 or 1 (TRUE or FALSE).

Combinational Circuits:

In digital circuits, combinational logic is a set of gates which perform one or more Boolean functions on their input signals. Combinational circuits often describe (synchronous or asynchronous).

Sequential Circuits:

Transistors and resistors, or other linear components, can combine to form digital circuits, which consist of logic gates whose inputs and outputs are binary signals.

Memory Elements:

By using memory elements, we can design circuits that store and retrieve information. Each type of memory element has its own characteristics which make it suitable for different applications.
