Punjab examination commission has issued school-based action plan 2023. According to PEC each school of Punjab will conduct SBA from Class I to VIII. In 2023 school-based assessment will be from the whole syllabus of grades 1-8. SBA item bank of grades 1-5 will be from SNC(single national curriculum) 2021. While the PEC SBA 2023 item bank of grades 6-8 will be from the national curriculum 2008.
In the last year, SBA was conducted from 18th MAY 2022 to 31 MAY 2022. School based action plan should be arranged by following the Sop’s of COVID-19. While report cards were issued before 10th June 2022.
SBA 2023 Syllabus:
Assessment method is 50% marks of objective type paper and 50 marks of subjective paper. Assessment for grade I & II will be oral including subjects English, Mathematics, Urdu and general knowledge. Items Bank for Grade III& VIII of all core subjects will be provided by PEC. MCQ paper will have total 25 MCQs. Each MCQ carrying equal 2 marks for one correct MCQ.
Head Teacher/ Principal have the responsibility to issue date sheet. While Punjab Examination Commission will establish a control room at provincial level for coordination.
