The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) strives to establish the highest standard for the NUMS Entry Test for admission to its constituent, affiliated, and all military (Armed Forces) administered medical and dental colleges. To provide a level playing field for all aspiring candidates, the minimum syllabus criteria is the “must-know knowledge,” which is based on common topics approved by various curriculum regulatory authorities in Pakistan.
At the same time, because this is a highly competitive examination, candidates are advised to study broadly and not limit themselves to specific syllabi. While the subject matter is quality assured by a diverse and experienced faculty, the psychological test component of the NUMS Entry Test evaluates a candidate’s aptitude and mental toughness to face the highly demanding medical studies.
Nums Entry Test 2022 Syllabus Subject-wise Marks:
(1) NUMS Entry Test will be given 95% weightage (NET)
(2) Shall consist of 150 ‘One Best Option Type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with a time limit of 150 minutes and be broken down as follows: –
Part A:
(a) Biology – 35 % (55 MCQs)
(b) Chemistry – 25 % (40 MCQs)
(c) Physics – 25 % (40 MCQs)
(d) English – 10 % (15 MCQs)
Part B (Psychology Test):
- NUMS Entry Test will be given a 5% weightage (NET)
- Contains 100 ‘One Best Option Type’ Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with a time limit of 30 minutes.
- No Negative Marking is permitted.
