MDCAT Eligibility Criteria 2022:

THE PMC COUNCIL’S DECISIONS September 28th, 2022, Islamabad: At the PMC Office, the Pakistan Medical Commission Council met. The council discussed multiple PMC agenda items pertaining to various problems. The members of the Council unanimously agreed that the MDCAT exam would be held on November 13th or 20th, 2022.

PMC will administer the exam through provincial public universities in all provinces except ICT on the same day and time. Bolan University of Medical & Health Sciences (Baluchistan), University of Health Sciences Lahore (Punjab), Khyber Medical University Peshawar (KPK), Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi (Sindh), and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Islamabad have decided to hold the MDCAT examination for Pakistani students (ICT, AJK, Gilgit Baltistan).

It is agreed that the MBBS pass rate would be 55% and the BDS pass percentage would be 45%. To assist students in adjusting to Pakistani medical and dental universities, the Council reduced the pass percentage.

The Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) is a standard test that is needed to get into undergraduate medical and dental programs at both public and private medical schools in Pakistan. The MDCAT is a test with 220 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in four sections: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, and English. The test lasts for 2 hours and 40 minutes.
